We all have heard of yoga, we might even have seen others do it, but for others, It might scare us away because we fear we are not flexible enough or focused enough. However, That is the perfect opportunity for yoga to come into our life. The beauty of yoga is that the body does not care if we are not good enough. It is our bodies’ turn to run the show, not our minds, In our yoga practice, we tune into the feeling of our body, not our minds.

Yoga is one of the most rejuvenating and best things we can do for ourselves, especially in the morning. Why? It creates more oxygen flow, removing the stagnant energy from our body, increasing our blood flow, releasing stress, and creating more room for clarity. It is miraculous what our bodies can do for us if we show just 20 minutes of love in the morning for it. It can change our world and release us from anxieties.

What do we need for a perfect yoga morning routine? Let’s grab a yoga mat and freshwater (perhaps with a lemon?) and get started!

  1. A peaceful space

Finding a space that will reflect upon our minds as calm and quiet will help us integrate more into our practice, it can be in nature, somewhere in our house, or somewhere considered sacred to us. We can even add incense and or candles, for extra Zen-like feelings.

  1. Beginning a practice

Beginning a personal practice allows us to keep showing up back to our mats when all else fails… Forming a habit. Eventually, our bodies know will tell us to practice each morning, and we will feel it.

Gentle Morning Yoga | 20 minutes every day

  1. The “Why” of yoga

Why do we choose to do yoga every day? From all the benefits listed above, I wanted to share my experience of how yoga has changed my life. Not only did it make me feel calmer, more relaxed, and easy-going as a person, I have most of my revelations on the mat because my mind is so clear; it opens up a portal to creativity, passion, and even fears. I never understood much about my emotions or body until I came across yoga – now I feel completely in touch with myself, especially my body, and I know exactly what it craves and needs, and, yes! This is all from yoga itself. It’s been years since I have been practicing and each time I do practice, it’s like I fall in love all over again, with myself, the world, and yoga. That is how magical it feels.

Yoga is the space we didn’t even know we needed mentally and physically, but once we get into it and become to understand it, we cannot leave it. It is with us forever and trust me, it’s something we want to stay. So within time, we can figure out our own why’s, but the why is important to keep within our hearts – and not stash away because it will be the reason to keep going even if we don’t want to.

Think about this: There are no cons to getting up and doing yoga in the morning, absolutely none, it’s all beneficial – keep that in mind next time you don’t want to do it.

Creating a beautiful yoga morning routine no matter how long or short it is will benefit our life and how we look at it for the better, so let’s start our days in a relaxed, refreshed state of mind.
