Wish I knew more about you

What would wishing even do?

A hopelessness my mind displays

Decorated in the corner with fortunes of luck

And two fingers crossed, in between each, a held breath

I wait and wish again

Maybe one day the star will visit soon

Will you see this wish in the stars too?

Sometimes, I wish I could forget about you

Constellations connect with each they find to be true

In those thousand years, I think that’s what we’ll do

Every rotation we edge a bit closer, but some stars shoot through where our mark was planned

We might not be together in this life span

So, instead I wish to be free

From worries about if you fit together with me

But, For now I’ll sit in the sky

Not as a star, but the waxing and waning of the moon,

When you look above, that’s my wish come true
